Ok, so I definitely didn't fall off the face of the earth, promise. Somehow nine months just flew by, and this is my first blog post since January. This is also the first time I've updated my website since then...whoops! I edited down some of my projects, added new projects, and cleaned up the navigation a bit - please take a look around!
2016 has been really great to me, overall. This month marks my first year of freelancing full-time. It definitely hasn't been easy, but the experience has been so rewarding. I have learned so much and met so many wonderful people. I know these are pretty typical things to say about starting out freelancing, but it's true. I've worked hard, but I am also fortunate enough to say that I've been pretty lucky as well.
Some really fun projects came my way: earlier in the year I got to work on my second Emporiyum, and I also designed and fabricated an installation for the DC Public Library. More recently, I've been helping put together Steadfast Supply, which is this insanely awesome marketplace/event venue/co-working space that's opening TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY. I've had the pleasure of assisting Nh.d Studio fabricate the fixture package for the entire space. I cannot wait to see it all merchandised with art, clothing, beauty items, and more. Mark your calendars - October 7 is when it happens.
Here are a few progress shots from Steadfast Supply to get you excited:
